2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must provide accurate account information, including a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account.

3. Service Scope

PDFdigest provides tools to upload academic papers and receive AI-generated learning outputs, such as structured explanations, visual summaries, lecture-style videos, and subtitles when available.

Outputs are educational aids and do not replace full-paper reading, peer review, or professional advice.

4. User Content and Processing Rights

You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant PDFdigest a limited, revocable license to store, transmit, and process your content solely to operate the service, generate outputs, and provide support.

You represent that you have the legal right to upload and process the content, including any copyrighted or third-party material.

5. Queueing, Processing, and Availability

Requests may be accepted into a queue and processed asynchronously. Submission acceptance does not guarantee processing completion time, processing order changes, or successful output generation.

We may modify, pause, or discontinue features, limits, or integrations at any time.

6. Prohibited Use

You may not use PDFdigest for unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harmful, abusive, or malicious purposes. We may suspend or ban accounts for policy violations.

You must not use the service to fabricate research claims, impersonate authors, or violate academic integrity policies.

7. Output Delivery and Retention

Guest (unregistered) files are temporary and are deleted periodically.

Registered-member files are retained in storage indefinitely unless you delete them from your dashboard or delete your account.

Download links and tokens may expire even when files remain stored.

8. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational controls, such as request validation and controlled download access. No internet service can be guaranteed fully secure or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, PDFdigest is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify PDFdigest and its operators from claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or applicable law. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable local law and jurisdiction selected by the service operator, unless mandatory law states otherwise.
